In this session, participants will be taught skills that will help them cope with anxiety, stress and other difficult emotions in a healthy way. These skills will include breathing techniques, mindfulness techniques, guided visualization, and reflective songwriting. It is recommended that participants “bring” a writing utensil and paper to the session.

On top of our usual daily life stressors, we are all dealing with so much more due to current global and national events. In this session, participants will be taught skills that will help them use music to cope with anxiety, stress, and other difficult emotions in a healthy way. For the session participants should strive to be where they can be comfortable with as few distractions as possible. A writing utensil and journal or something to write in will be needed as well.
