Meet the Clinical Team

Mental health providers working for PRC are all licensed by the appropriate California State Board for the associated profession (CA Board of Psychology and Board of Behavioral Sciences) and are able to provide services within the state of California. Psychological Associates are Registered with the CA Board of Psychology and under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist. Neuropsychology providers have completed coursework in neuropsychology with clinical training and postdoctoral hours in neuropsychology specialty. All music therapists have successfully completed required coursework from a degree program (or equivalent) approved by the American Music Therapy Association, Inc. (AMTA). They have also successfully completed a clinical training program approved by an accredited university or by AMTA. The Pacific Resiliency Center only hires music therapists who have earned their MT-BC (music therapist-board certified) credential or are eligible to sit for the exam given by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) in order to receive their credential. Music therapy assistants have completed coursework in music therapy and may be utilized to assist at our camp programs and provide general music services (non-clinical). Music therapists adhere to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Clinical Practice set forth by the American Music Therapy Association, Inc. (AMTA) . The Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) which is governed by the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA). Board Certified Music Therapists adhere to the Code of Professional Practice and Music Therapy Scope of Practice set forth by CBMT.
